Some sort of memory lockup on the backup machine we are running. We are back in business now.
I'm getting really fed up with this, but we seem to be down again. 3am PST seems to be the time this happend at. I'll keep you guys posted and get the backup server we are running off up ASAP.
On an aside the main server is close to going in for operation. Hopefully early next week it will replace the slower backup system.

Well, after being down for a 2 days we are backup on some borrowed hardware. The real server is being tested and all is being tested to make sure everything is ok before it is returned to the co-location centre. Hopefully the first week of Feburary. This will give enough time for testing and getting things setup properly and hopefully keep things a little more reliable and quicker until we are able to upgrade the whole server.
The more research doing into this problem makes things look like some sort of incompatibility with the motherboard and different versions of Linux and/or just a plan "buggy' motherboard. Here and there have always been little things with this motherboard.
Anyways, I hope to be back up tomorrow some time on some borrowed hardware for a few days(possibly a week). Once the regular system is rebuilt with a new motherboard and linux install and is working properly again we will switch back over. This way there isn't the time pressure. As for upgrading the server to something faster an better, I need to do more research and make sure all will work together fine first.;)
Sorry for the inconvenience and withdrawals this is causing you guys ;)
Cheers,
Fred
Well guys, Bad news.
When trying to re-install the OS kept getting a number of I/O errors. Looked like we got it all solved at one point, but then with most of the install done the system crashed and all data was lots.
Good news is this shouldn't too big of a problem as we have backups, but we are offline at least until Saturday at the earliest. I'm also looking into just purchasing another server as it seems the Motherboard might be fried :( I'll keep you posted here.
PS, my email is currently not working either do to this.;(
Well, after my home router went south this site was offline until I got a replacement (last night).
This means you can get updates here again. Also Thursday a system rebuild of the tdiclub.com server will be happening. This time will be used to check some hardware that's been a little bit of a problem and do a fresh and clean install. The outage will be the better part of the day.
